Adi Meyerson

Adi Meyerson was born in San Francisco, CA and at the age two, relocated with her family to Jerusalem, Israel where she grew up. In August 2012 she moved to New York to continue her studies at The New School and later on at Manhattan School of Music for her Master’s degree. She studied with notable musicians such as Ron Carter, Reggie Workman, Bob Cranshaw, Miguel Zenon, Jim McNeely, Dave Liebman and many others.

Since moving to New York, she has played as a side woman with artists such as Charli Persip, Bria Skonberg, Joel Frahm, Svetlana & the NY collective and others in venues around the NYC area, as well as all over the US. As a bandleader and composer on the NYC jazz scene, Adi has earned a reputation as an up-and-coming young talent. In 2017, she released her debut recording, Where We Stand, with her nine original compositions.

With her band Adi has headlined the Make Some Noise Music Festival, Center City Jazz Festival in Philadelphia, the International Guatemala Jazz Festival and BRIC Jazz Fest. Adi has performed all over the US, Latin America and Canada with her trio and as a sidewoman. Adi is a recipient of the 2020 NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre by the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment in association with The New York Foundation for the Arts. She joins us for the first time on The Jazz Cruise as a member of XXXX’s group.
