U.S. Citizens:
- Valid Passport Strongly Preferred. We strongly recommend that guests travel with a valid passport which (a) expires no sooner than six (6) months beyond the last day of the cruise and (b) contains two blank passport pages. Though there alternative forms of identification, their effectiveness is limited to boarding and disembarking the ship. If, for any reason, a guest needs to access travel to or from one of the ports of call, either during or after the cruise, a valid passport may be the only effective form of identification. Changing travel reservations at any time can be completed quicker and easier if the guest has a valid passport.
- Alternative Travel Documentation for U.S. Citizens. For sailings that begin and end in the same United States Port, such as our Jazz Cruises sailings, in lieu of a passport, U.S. citizens may travel provided they have BOTH a Government issued birth certificate and a Government issued ID card, such as a driver’s license. This document must contain a seal and signature, as legal proof of citizenship that can be used by United States citizens for certain international travel. Copies of a birth certificate or any Government issued document are not acceptable.
Non-U.S. Citizens:
- Non-U.S. Guests Must Have Valid Passport. Non-U.S. Guests are required to present a valid passport of their country of origin in order to be permitted to board the ship. Passports must be valid at least six (6) months beyond the last day of the cruise.. Further, each Non-U.S. Guest is responsible to secure any visas or permits required to visit our ports of call.
U.S. Citizens:
- No Additional Documentation is Required. U.S. Citizens do not require additional documentation to visit any of the Ports-of-Call on a Jazz Cruises’ sailing or to reenter the United States.
Non-U.S. Citizens:
- Guest Must Secure Required VISAs. It is your responsibility to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. Valid travel documents, such as passports, visas, inoculation certificate and family legal documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries. If you do not possess the proper documentation, you may be prevented from boarding your flight, ship, or from entering a country in the itinerary or reentering the United States. You may also be subject to fines. No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation. Guests on consecutive sailings must ensure they have the proper travel documents for their entire cruise vacation.
- Contacting the Embassy. The best way to learn what is required for each country is to contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your sailing itinerary or the visa service of your choice for specific visa requirements, information, forms, and fees for your nationality.
